Healthy Kids

We believe in healthy starts.

Wellness Is a Way of Life for Healthy Kids. A Proactive Approach to Pediatric Care in Austin

From the very first newborn visit, we know you want to protect your child from illness and injuries. The pediatric care we offer devotes time and attention to preventive medicine. We ensure that your baby, child or teenager has the very best start in life.

At 411 Pediatrics, we partner with parents and caregivers to help instill healthy lifestyles in their children. With the right attitude about diet, nutrition and exercise, healthy kids grow into healthy adults. We believe that comprehensive pediatric care should always include a strong relationship between parents/caregivers and our pediatricians, and ready access to educational resources such as:

  • Healthcare and nutritional guides
  • Growth and development primers
  • Symptom checkers
  • Age-appropriate parenting tips

Make it a Habit to Schedule Yearly Checkups

In addition to height, weight, body mass index and blood pressure checks, our annual well visits always include age-appropriate conversations about safety and prevention. You will find that we are not in a hurry. We take the time to address your questions and concerns.

Health issues often come to light in routine visits. Proactive pediatric care can identify high cholesterol, signs of insulin resistance and early diabetes, anemia, scoliosis, and problems with hearing or vision. It is also an opportunity to discuss school and learning issues, risky behaviors, and body image concerns.

At yearly checkups, we will also help you stay current on your child’s vaccination schedule, providing secure online access to immunization records. 411 Pediatrics follows the guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Playing Team Sports in Austin, Eanes, Lake Travis ISD, or Pop Warner? We Schedule Physicals for Sports

In some cases, pediatric care extends to the playing field or gym. When it’s time to suit up for sports in Austin, Eanes, or Lake Travis schools or the Travis County area, we will make every effort to ensure that your child is physically prepared for the rigors of competition and aware of the consequences of overuse injuries. Before we clear your child for sports, we will take into account his or her medical history and conduct a physical exam. We can incorporate physicals for sports into your annual well child visit.

We know it is hard to plan ahead! Our Austin pediatric practice recommends scheduling physicals for sports at least four weeks before the deadline.

Scheduling an annual well visit for pediatric care provides a big-picture view of your child’s growth and development. Families in the Austin and the Austin area can rely on our pediatricians to invest in the long-term health of your child.

If it is time for your annual well child visit, sports physical, or if you would like to make a new patient appointment with the team at 411 Pediatrics, contact us here. We look forward to partnering with you as your children grow from newborns to teenagers!
