Flu and RSV season are coming!
Flu vaccines
Starting September 1, our office will offer both the flu shot and the nasal spray flu vaccine, so families have options that work for their child.
- Babies 6 months and older who are getting their first-ever flu vaccine will need two doses, spaced one month apart, for full protection. If your baby falls into this group, we recommend scheduling early so both doses are completed well before flu activity picks up.
- Healthy children age 2 and up who prefer to skip the shot can opt for the nasal spray vaccine instead, if appropriate for them.
RSV Protection for Babies 0–8 Months
RSV can be especially serious for babies in their first year of life. For infants 0–8 months old heading into RSV season, we offer the RSV antibody shot, a single dose that helps protect babies through the season ahead.
It’s one of the best steps you can take to protect your baby during the months when RSV circulates most (usually October through March).
Scheduling Is Quick and Easy
These are fast visits! No need to wait for a full well-child appointment. Call our office today to schedule.
