Pediatric urgent care Austin? We are here for you when you need us! These things always seem to happen at night or on a weekend. Our pediatric healthcare providers are experts in childhood minor illness and injury. We offer services to 411 Pediatrics patients as well as all children in the community (or if you are just visiting our wonderful city).
If your own pediatric office is closed, we welcome you to utilize our services and our office will send the record of the visit to your child’s pediatrician to make sure everyone is in the loop.
We are thrilled to have a team, including pediatrician Dr. Shubha Adeni, physician assistants Laura Cox and Pam Burris, and pediatric nurse practitioner Kristin Campbell.
SHUBHA ADENI, MD, FAAP
Dr. Shubha Adeni earned her medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, India. After moving to the United States, she completed a Pediatric internship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She then moved with her husband to Chicago and completed her Pediatric residency training at Illinois Masonic Medical Center/University of Illinois at Chicago. She joined Illinois Masonic Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center, Chicago as pediatrician and worked there for eight years. During this period, she also served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL, and was involved in teaching medical students, Residents and Nurse Practitioners.
She later joined a private Pediatric practice in suburban Chicago, where she worked for three more years before moving to Austin.
She has been practicing pediatrics in Austin since 2002. She opened her practice in Rollingwood, then moved her practice to Lakeway. She has been the President and owner of Lakeway Pediatric Associates for 8 years, which she sold in 2015. Dr. Adeni is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of The Texas and Travis county medical Associations.
With over 25 years of experience in Pediatrics, Dr Adeni is passionate about keeping children healthy and happy. She enjoys talking to parents and helping them raise well balanced children.
She lives In the Lakeway Area with her Husband who is a Neonatologist with the Seton group of Hospitals. They are the proud parents of 2 daughters (ages 28 and 26), a son (age 20) and their beloved dog Nisha.
The family likes to travel internationally as well as locally and spend time together whenever possible. In her spare time Dr Adeni enjoys Indian classical music, yoga, meditation, reading, cooking and entertaining.
LAURA COX, PA-C
Laura Cox, PA-C is a physician assistant with fifteen years of clinical experience working in both primary care and urgent care settings. She graduated from Texas A & M with a BS in psychology and went on to receive her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
She is one of our healthcare providers in our After Hours Care on weekends and on occasional weekdays. She is also a mother and loves raising her two daughters.
PAM BURRIS, PA-C
Pam Burris, PA-C is a physician assistant with six years of professional experience working with children and families of diverse backgrounds. She received her BS in Biology, graduating with high honors from Lamar University in Beaumont, then completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
In addition to her work at 411 Pediatrics in our After Hours Care on weekends, she provides healthcare on medical mission trips across the globe.
She is also a mom, and enjoys spending time with her little ones at home!
KRISTIN CAMPBELL, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC
Kristin Campbell, RN, MSN, cPNP-PC is a nurse practitioner who joined 411 Pediatrics After Hours staff in January 2015. She received her Masters of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004. She started her nursing career as a registered nurse in pediatric oncology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. For the last 7 years, Kristin has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Vanderbilt and served as the Program Coordinator and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the REACH for Survivorship Program where she earned several patient satisfaction awards. After relocating to Austin with her family, she has returned to the Primary Care setting full-time. Kristin loves taking care of children, both sick and well and when not working enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
